The AKASO Seemor night-vision goggles are incredibly versatile and can even be used as digital binoculars during the day.
In our extreme low-light testing, the Seemor let us see clearly in very dark conditions—and in complete darkness when using the IR mode. We didn’t expect such impressive performance from a device at this price.
One note: our test units arrived with the batteries nearly depleted, so you can’t use them straight out of the box. Plan to charge them first.
Overall, the AKASO Seemor exceeded my expectations and is highly recommended.

I am both a private investigator and a security pro. Over the years I have bought many IR night vision goggles and have returned every one of them. I bought cheaper and more expensive ones than the AKASO Seemor-200. My biggest issues with the other ones have been the poor vision of the scene, being unable to record my subjects at night and wearing glasses is almost impossible to look through the eyepiece that requires to put it almost inside your eyeballs.

Monoculars also have been the worst at trying to get a full shot of the area I was surveilling. I only bought this model because it was recommended by another investigator and to my surprise for the price, it's beyond what I was expecting.

First, I love that it has 2 mounting options (top and bottom), to mount to a Helmet or a tripod/monopod.
Second, I'm in love with the large-screen rendering. I no longer have to put the goggles on my eyeballs and I can wear my glasses so that I can see the scene properly.

I took it on one of my night surveillance gigs and I caught my subject red-handed thanks to the AKASO. I recorded the scene and was very happy with my results. Although the scene was pretty dark, the recording seems to be almost in full light AND clear! - It has an app, but I have not yet downloaded or played around with it yet.

I only used it for about half an hour total or so, and it seemed that the battery was still full. I can't say how long it will last, but with having a second battery available it's very handy. I have taken some pictures with my phone showing the night vision scenes. I used it before even charging the batteries that came with it. I have a very advanced phone so the photo of the scene seems to be more illuminated than it shows, but for sure, the area was very dark and I could not see a thing, not even the car in the scene. You can see in the 2 night photos the difference between the screen and the dark surroundings. These goggles I am keeping!

I saw a couple of positive YouTube reviews of theses and decided to pull the trigger and buy a set. For the price, I was pleasantly surprised at how well they work. I bought a NVG helmet mount and then designed and 3D printed an adapter mount, as I couldn't find one that was a straight "off of the shelf" match. These goggles are not so expensive that I worry about them getting damaged in the field.

Totally outstanding. Once I got them dialed in. I looked up this sky
randomly and saw two satellites in less than 10 seconds outstanding...

I was able to use these Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) every night over the past week and I was very impressed with how they worked. Obtaining color through goggles at night with little to no light was incredible, as I always knew night vision as green or grayscale as it produced the images.

I was able to see clearly in my backyard as far as 30-40 yards in areas where there were no spotlights, solar ground lighting or motion detectors. [Note the image in this post where the targets are in the distance, still allowing me to see all of the target stands objects in the background] Also the picture with the glowing light from the screen illustrates how dark it was outside at the time of capture. Just a little rotation of the left lens allows for the image to come into greater focus.

The package comes with two batteries, which is very generous, a charger, neck strap and a USB-C power cable. This is all included inside a semi-hard case which is perfect for travel as well as keeping the main unit protected.

As for the night vision unit itself, it’s pretty light which means long sessions outdoor isn’t a problem, especially with each battery getting about 4 hours of life out of a single charge. The buttons are responsive and press easily at command. If you’re looking to get in to the night vision game for wildlife observation or just exploring the outdoors after sundown, they offer good value and a fun, useful experience.
